From Our Parish
Synod Summary
During the first quarter of 2022, Blessed Sacrament participated in the global “Synod on Synodality” by hosting facilitated consultation sessions. These sessions provided the opportunity to listen to each other as we walk together in our journey of faith. Over 200 parishioners participated in 46 sessions, which were led by over 30 trained facilitators. The parish would like to thank all facilitators and participants for following the guidance of the Holy Spirit to partake in these conversations. The sessions resulted in thorough, meaningful and thought-provoking discussions about our parish and the Catholic Church as a whole. A small group synthesized the responses from both the English and Spanish communities and then combined those summaries into one complete Blessed Sacrament submission, which was reviewed by parish council and sent to the diocese on March 28. The full report can now be viewed here, for the benefit of all parishioners.
