Have questions about our faith?

Want to become Catholic?

“There are not one hundred people in the United States who hate The Catholic Church, but there are millions who hate what they wrongly perceive the Catholic Church to be.”

-Venerable Fulton Sheen

While the Catholic Church is the largest religion in the world, it is sometimes also the most misunderstood. The beliefs of the Catholic Church and its beautiful teachings are consistent through the ages, and we can directly trace our roots all the way back to St. Peter, and ultimately Jesus Christ Himself. We invite you to come and see about us and our beliefs:

  • We believe that human beings were created by God in love and that everything God creates is good and created out of love. While we have the capacity for sin, the Church believes in the dignity of the human person above all else.

  • We also believe that goodness infuses all of God’s wondrous creation. All creation, made by God, reflects that goodness. Catholics see the world and its beauty, renewed by the Incarnation, as sacramental – speaking of God’s goodness and love.

  • We believe in stewardship. Everything is given to us by God and our Catholic responsibility is to share our time, talent and treasure with those around us.

  • We believe in the Holy Trinity, that God has revealed himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit – a communion of knowledge and love – has created us to share in that life.

  • We believe in community and a living Church – believers are a part of the living Body of Christ and, as such, we are a reflection of the communal nature of the Trinity.

  • We believe that God loved his creation so much that he became human in the person of Jesus to walk among us.

  • We believe in the communion of the saints – models of faith who help us and guide us in our daily lives.

  • We believe in Jesus’ crucifixion, death and resurrection, and we hope that one day we will rise to new life with him.

Rite of Christian Initation for Adults (RCIA

If you are an adult either wanting to become Catholic or are a returning Catholic, we have a program called RCIA. This is a six to eight month program that begins in October of every year. Registration for RCIA begins mid-September.

We have a wonderful team of volunteers and sponsors who will teach and guide you through the ways of our Church, our beliefs, and where they all stem from. You would have sponsors and community support to help you in your faith journey. The RCIA team of sponsors help guide, support and instruct those discerning whether to become members of our Catholic community. Team members share their faith with inquiring adults who are seeking more information about the Catholic Church, many of whom seek to celebrate one or more of the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation.

Christian Initiation for Children of Catechetical (CHICCA

If you are looking for your child to become Catholic; we have a program called CHICCA, which assists children (ages 7-17) who have not been baptized, or have been baptized in another Christian denomination but wish to enter the Roman Catholic Church.

It is a 2-year program, with both years requiring good attendance in our Religious Education programs. In addition, the second year also includes a class that helps children and teens learn more about the Catholic Church and deepen their own faith. All sacraments (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) are received at the Easter Vigil or during the Easter season. CHICCA classes meet 2 Saturday evenings a month (6:30-8:15) Oct-May. Registration for all children's programs begins in July of every year and will close in September.
